Sustainability & Human Rights

At Louise Xin, our mission goes beyond fashion—we are dedicated to creating a positive impact on both the environment and society. Our commitment to sustainability and human rights is at the heart of everything we do, from the materials we choose to the people we work with.

Sustainability

We believe that fashion can be a force for good, not a source of harm. By embracing a slow fashion philosophy, we aim to reduce waste and protect the planet.

Our Sustainable Practices

What We Do

  • Deadstock Materials: We predominantly use leftover fabrics, leather and materials sourced from major fashion houses, giving these materials a second life and reducing waste. All materials containing polyester or plastics are 100% deadstock or upcycled. We are committed to not producing or using new plastics and strive to limit plastic usage throughout our operations, including packaging.

  • Circular Fashion: Our hybrid business model includes rental, pre-order, and made-to-order options, which help minimize environmental impact and prevent overproduction.

  • Upcycling: We actively upcycle materials to extend their life and create unique, sustainable fashion pieces.

What We Aim For

  • Deadstock Materials: While most of our materials are deadstock, certain key components and special items are still newly produced. Our goal is to exclusively use deadstock fabrics and materials, eliminating the need for newly manufactured elements.

  • Resale: In the future, we plan to introduce resale as an integral part of our circular business model, enabling customers to further extend the life of their garments.

  • Innovative Materials: We aim to collaborate with sustainable tech companies to develop new materials that align with our aesthetic and values. Until then, we remain dedicated to solely using deadstock.

  • Plastic-Free Commitment: We are working towards eliminating all plastic-containing materials from our collections. While we currently use only deadstock or upcycled materials that contains polyester, we aim to find alternative materials that offer the same aesthetic and functional qualities without relying compromising with sustainabilty in the long run.
